Red Giants turning MBPJ Stadium into fortress

PETALING JAYA: The MBPJ Stadium is becoming a fortress for Selangor as they beat Penang 4-1 in the Super League yesterday.

So far, the Red Giants have been unbeaten in four Super League matches in Kelana Jaya.

The three points from Penang saw Selangor move up to second in the table behind JDT with 12 points from six games.

Nidzam Jamil's team scored through Mukhairi Ajmal Mahadi (third minute), Yohandry Orozco (66th minute penalty), Alvin Fortes (89th) and Quentin Cheng (98th)

Penang got a goal back through Rafael Vitor in the 63rd minute.

At KLFA Stadium, KL City held Sri Pahang to a 0-0 draw.

Though Pahang didn't win, it ended the Elephants' losing streak in the league.

The City Boys are fifth on the table with eight points from five games while Pahang are 10th with five points from five matches.
