KUALA LUMPUR: No teams in Malaysia can match Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT). What about the other team from across the Causeway?
This question will be answered when world No.161
Singapore meet 10-time Super League champions JDT on Sept 7 at Singapore's National Stadium.
According to a statement from the Football Association of Singapore, the decision was made due to the lack of suitable opponents (national teams) and the need for additional training time for Japanese head coach Tsutomu Ogura, who was appointed on Feb 1.
The notable players in the Singapore team include former JDT captain Hariss Harun and Selangor captain Safuwan Baharudin.
It will be an intriguing match. Who are fiercer, the Southern Tigers or the Lions?
