Norde walks to Kedah training as he has no money to buy petrol

ALOR STAR: Kedah captain Sony Norde revealed that he had to walk from his home to the team's training ground at Sultan Abdul Halim Stadium (SAHS) yesterday due to financial problems caused by unpaid wages.

The Haitian said he had to endure the six-kilometre round trip, walking in the rain.

"You can see for yourself that I came to the training ground today on foot because I don't have enough money to fill my car with petrol, and I will also return home in the same way despite the rainy weather," said Norde after training at the SAHS yesterday evening.

"This issue of unpaid wages has been very painful for me over the past few months, and I'm still sacrificing to train with the team to continue fighting this Friday against Sri Pahang.

"I have sacrificed for the team for a long time with patience. As the wage issue continues, I'm living in hardship, as you can see today.

"We hope that the (Kedah FC) management can resolve our unpaid wages as soon as possible."
