FAM urges disgruntled parties to use proper channels for complaints

KUALA LUMPUR: The FA of Malaysia (FAM) has urged disgruntled parties to follow official channels when voicing complaints.

This follows claims by South Korean football agent Jeong Myeong Ho that his clients with Super League side Kelantan Darul Naim (KDN) have been playing football in Malaysia without visas for over six months.

FAM secretary general Datuk Noor Azman Rahman said that the national body is open to investigating complaints and taking action where warranted.

"We can only act when there's a report lodged. We're always ready to receive complaints and conduct investigations," said Azman.

"We have taken action against errant parties before and even docked points for salary-related issues.

"The M-League is now overseen by the Malaysian Football League (MFL), which has also penalised clubs with point deductions and fines for various offences."

In an Instagram story, Myeong Ho claimed his clients — a coach and players — were unable to travel for away matches due to the visa delays.

He added that a Myanmar player at KDN is facing a similar problem.

The Korean also alleged that his players have not received their salaries for three months.

Myeong Ho said he will lodge a report with Fifa if KDN fail to resolve the issue in the next 14 days.

"FAM regulations align with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and Fifa. We are committed to maintaining the integrity of our football," Azman added.
