KUALA LUMPUR: Kelantan Darul Naim (KDN) president Rozi Mohamad revealed that the club are in the final stage of securing visas for its foreign players, dismissing allegations of neglect.
South Korean agent Jeong Myeong Ho recently claimed that his clients at Super League side KDN had been without visas in Malaysia for over six months.
Rozi attributed the delay to unavoidable technical issues in the approval process, adding that KDN are fully committed to completing the necessary procedures swiftly.
To expedite matters, KDN recently visited the Kelantan State Immigration Department.
"There was a slight misunderstanding from the agent about the process and technical issues faced by the club," said Rozi, who is also the Tendong assemblyman, in a media statement.
"However, this has been resolved through good communication with the agent. We have taken all necessary steps to address the situation."
He confirmed that the club have submitted the necessary documents and made payments to the Immigration Department for the visas.
"I would like to extend our gratitude to the Immigration Department for their support and cooperation," Rozi added.
"We are always attentive to issues and committed to handling them with professional ethics."
KDN are 12th in the 13-team Super League standings, with seven points from 14 matches.
