KUALA LUMPUR: Police remain focused ahead of their Malaysia Cup round-of-16 (first leg) match against Negri Sembilan in Paroi, tomorrow (Nov 24), despite unpredictable weather conditions complicating their preparations.
Police coach P. Maniam said that the frequent rain during the evenings has disrupted the team's training schedule, requiring adjustments to ensure the sessions can still take place.
"Nevertheless, the players' focus is still excellent, and they are fully committed and are ready for the match against Negeri Sembilan," said Maniam.
Maniam added that he is pleased that all of his players are available for selection for the match, with only one player not fully fit.
He disclosed that Nigerian import, Chidi Osuchukwu, has a slight injury and may not play.
"All of my players are ready to play except for Osuchukwu, who has a minor injury. The rest are in top condition, and I hope we can achieve a good result there," said Maniam.
Based on their current performance in the Super League, the Cops squad is expected to have no trouble defeating Negri who are currently at the bottom of the league, compared to Police FC, who are in sixth place.
