KUALA LUMPUR: Terengganu rallied from a goal down to edge Maybank 2-1 in a Malaysia Hockey League (MHL) match in Bukit Jalil on Monday.
It was the second win for the East Coast team who beat last year's treble champions Tenaga Nasional 2-1 on Saturday to win the Charity Shield.
The Tigers, who beat Armed Forces 3-1 in their first match, started off well by taking the lead in the 12th minute through Muhajir Abdu Rauf.
But the East Coast team, powered by South Korean Lee Nam Yong and South African Samkelo Mvimbi, scored two goals in the space of 10 minutes.
Former international Tengku Ahmad Tajuddin Tengku Abdul Jalil equalised in the 17th minute, and 10 minutes later national forward Faizal Saari scored the winner.
Terengganu coach Harfizi Baharom said his players showed fighting spirit in their first two matches by coming back from a goal down to win against Tenaga Nasional and Maybank.
Meanwhile, TNB Thunderbolts got off to a good start by edging Universiti Teknologi Mara HA-KPT 1-0 at the same venue with the winner scored by Zulhanif Sharan in the 50th minute.
