Archer Haziq dies

KUALA LUMPUR: National archer Haziq Kamaruddin died this morning at the Kajang Hospital. He was 27.

Haziq represented Malaysia at the 2012 London and 2016 Rio Olympics.

The Johor-born grabbed attention in 2011 when he won the men's recurve individual and team gold medals at the Asian Championships in Tehran.

Haziq also won four gold (men's team — 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2017 editions), and two silver (individual — 2015 and team — 2019) medals in the Sea Games.
