KUALA LUMPUR: National No. 4 Aifa Azman made short work of German Saskia Beinhard to reach the second round of the US$75,000 Manchester Open in England yesterday.
The World No. 40 Malaysian needed just 26 minutes to win 11-6, 11-6, 11-4, but will face a daunting task in the second round, against world No. 6 and top seed Nour El Tayeb of Egypt.
Malaysia's Ainaa Amani lost 11-5, 11-5, 11-2 to Hong Kong's Chan Sin Yuk in the first round.
