The nation is set to roar on Malaysia's Olympic shuttlers today [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian badminton players fight for Olympic glory today with the action starting at 2.30pm as Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah face China's formidable Chen Qing Chen-Jia Yi Fan.

Pearly-Thinaah have already made history by becoming the first women's pair from Malaysia to advance to the Olympic semi-finals. The nation hopes they will continue their magnificent run.

Later at 4.50pm, the spotlight shifts to Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik in the men's doubles semi-finals where the 2022 world champions will take on China's top seeds Liang Wei Keng-Wang Chang.

A charged-up Aaron-Wooi Yik will be out for revenge, having lost to the China pair in a group match on Monday.

Fans of Lee Zii Jia will have to stay up late, as the poster boy of Malaysian badminton is set to play at 1.55am. He will battle Denmark's Anders Antonsen in the men's singles quarter-finals.

In golf, Gavin Green will continue his Olympic challenge in the second round, teeing off at 3:00pm.

Meanwhile sailors Nur Shazrin Latif will compete in races 2-4, starting at 6:05pm and Khairulnizam Afendy will compete in races three-four at 6.20pm.
