Mixed doubles shuttlers Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei will face second seeds Feng Yan Zhe-Huang Dong Ping of China at about 2:30pm Malaysian time.
Later in the evening, Goh Jin Wei will take to the court in the women's badminton singles against South Africa's Johanita Scholtz at 8pm.
In the early hours of the morning tomorrow at 3:10am, men's doubles shuttlers Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik will battle China's top seeds Liang Wei Keng-Wang Chang.
Today, 19 gold medals will be on offer in archery, artistic gymnastics, canoe slalom, mountain biking, equestrian, diving, judo, shooting and skateboarding.
The first gymnastics medals of the Paris Olympics will be awarded following the men's team event.
In diving, Britain's five-time Olympian Tom Daley and his partner, Noah Williams, will duel with China's Yang Hao and Lian Junjie for the men's 10-metre synchronised platform gold.
As of yesterday, Japan lead the medal standings with four gold, two silver and one bronze. Australia follow with four gold and two silver while the United States are third with three gold, six silver, and three bronze.
