KUALA LUMPUR: As Day 10 of the Paris Olympics unfolds, Malaysia are still looking for their first medal at the Paris Olympics.
Today's schedule features seven Malaysian athletes.
Golfer Gavin Green is set to tee off for his final round at 3:00pm, aiming for a strong finish.
Next, shuttler Lee Zii Jia will take to the court at 4:50pm to face Thailand's Kunlavut Vitidsarn in a highly anticipated men's singles semi-final battle.
Malaysian interest will then shift to the water, with sailors Khairulnizam Afendy competing in races 7-8 of the men's dinghy and Nur Shazrin Latif in races 7-8 of the women's dinghy.
In between these sailing events, cyclist Nur Aisyah Zubir will see action in the women's road race, which starts at 8:00pm.
Malaysian fans will hope to see the country winning a medal at the end of the day, at 9:00pm, when badminton men's pair Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik vie for the bronze against Denmark's Kim Astrup-Anders Skaarup Rasmussen. The Malaysian duo will be looking to defend their bronze medal from the previous Olympics.
Today will see 30-medal events being contested in archery, artistic gymnastics, athletics, badminton, boxing, fencing, equestrian, table tennis, shooting and swimming.
On Day 9, the Paris pool saw record-breaking performances. American legend Katie Ledecky clinched her ninth Olympic swimming gold while teenager Summer McIntosh made history as Canada's first triple champion at a single Olympics. American Caeleb Dressel joined Ledecky with his ninth gold, contributing to a world record in the mixed medley relay.
In the medal standings, China lead with 16 gold, 12 silver and nine bronze. The United States follow closely with 14 gold, 24 silver and 23 bronze while France hold third place with 12 gold, 14 silver and 15 bronze.
