Paris Olympics Day 13: Two Malaysians in action [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: On Day 13 of the Paris Olympics today, Malaysia will be represented only by female athletes while their male counterparts have a rest day.

Today, golfer Ashley Lau will see action in the second round of the women's individual stroke play at 3:00pm. An hour later, diver Nur Dhabitah Sabri will take to the stage in the semi-finals of the women's 3-metre springboard

Yesterday, Day 12 was highlighted by a thrilling show from American Quincy Hall in the men's 400 metres and Australia's dramatic victory in the men's cycling team pursuit.

Panipak Wongpattanakit made history by becoming the first Thai athlete to win two Olympic gold medals, after successfully defending her Tokyo title in the flyweight taekwondo division.

At the other end, Australian Olympic hockey player Tom Craig was released by Paris police after his arrest for purchasing cocaine. Craig apologised to his family and teammates.

As of yesterday, the United States lead the medal standings with 27 gold, 35 silver and 32 bronze. China follow closely with 25 gold, 23 silver and 17 bronze while Australia hold third place with 18 gold, 12 silver and 11 bronze.
