Paris Olympics Day 11: Will Zii Jia add to Malaysia's medal tally? [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: As Day 11 of the 2024 Olympics unfolds, Malaysia hope to win another medal in Paris.

Before the highly anticipated badminton men's singles bronze-playoff match featuring Lee Zii Jia, the spotlight will be on sailor Nur Shazrin Latif. She competes in races 9 and 10 in the women's dinghy at 6.15pm.

Later at 8.30pm, world No. 7 Zii Jia will face India's Lakshya Sen in the men's singles bronze medal match.

The nation hope to see Zii Jia adding another bronze medal to the one won by men's doubles Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik yesterday.

In addition to badminton, today's schedule will feature 21-medal events in artistic gymnastics, athletics, canoe slalom, track cycling, shooting, surfing, and triathlon.

Day 10 of the Olympics yesterday saw Serbian tennis superstar Novak Djokovic complete his career Golden Slam, and American Noah Lyles capturing the men's 100m gold.

American Bobby Finke shattered the men's 1,500m freestyle world record, finishing in 14 minutes 30.67 seconds, erasing Sun Yang's 12-year mark of 14:31.02.

As of now, the United States lead the medal standings with 19 gold, 26 silver, and 26 bronze. China follow closely with 19 gold, 15 silver and 11 bronze while host nation France hold third place with 12 gold, 14 silver and 18 bronze.
