KUCHING: Selangor swimmer Andrew Goh set a new national men's 100m breaststroke record in the Malaysia Games (Sukma) today.
He did one minute 01.39 seconds at the Pandelela Rinong Aquatics Cemtre, which bettered his own national record of 1:02.30 set in the Malaysia Open in May.
Cham Yu Xiang of Federal Territories (FT) won silver with 1:04.55 while bronze went to Sabah's Emmanuel Loh (1:04.98).
In men's 200m freestyle, FT's Dhuha Zulfikry clocked 1:50.03 to erase the Sukma record of 1:51.05 set by Daniel Bego in 2008. Selangor's Jayden Goh won silver with 1:52.55 while his teammate, Henry Goh, was third with 1:52.23.
