Mobile Legend star Haqqullah aims to shine again at M6

SERI KEMBANGAN: Haqqullah "Sekys" Ahmad Shahrul Zaman is fired up to bring more glory to Malaysia after winning the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Mid Season Cup (MSC) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in July.

Haqqullah, with Selangor Red Giants (SRG) teammates Mark Genzon "KramM" Sojero Rusiana, Hazziq "Stormie" Danish, Qayyum "YumS" Ariffin Suhairi and John Vincent "Innocent" Banal, won US$1 million (RM4.3 million) and Malaysia's first international MLBB title at the MSC, which was also part of the eSports World Cup.

Haqqullah has set his sights on another electrifying run with SRG at the M6 World Championships in November at Axiata Arena, in Bukit Jalil.

"I'm really motivated to represent Malaysia at the M6, especially when it's being hosted in our country.

"Even though we won the MSC, our desire to bring more glory to our nation is burning brighter than ever.

"We are focusing on one thing at a time, our goal right now is to qualify for the M6, and we will think about the tournament later," Haqqullah said at the Subang City Council Stadium in Serdang Jaya today where the MLBB Malaysian Professional League Malaysia (MPLMY) kicked off its 14th season with a blockbuster matchup between SRG and season 12 champions Homebois.

SRG beat their rivals 2-1, with Haqqullah named as the series' Most Valuable Player.

This season's champions and runners-up will represent Malaysia at the M6.
