Hazziq rewards himself with Mazda 3 Ignite Edition

KUALA LUMPUR: Esports player Hazziq "Stormie" Danish has treated himself to a nifty new car with the money from his winnings.

He was a member of the Selangor Red Giants (SRG) team that pocketed US$1 million (RM4.2 million) after winning the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Mid Season Cup, which is part of the World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in July.

Hazziq has purchased a Mazda 3 Ignite Edition which retails from RM174,000, according to Mazda Malaysia's website.

This was shown in a TikTok video by a user, @ann.atwork, who is believed to be a Mazda sales executive.

"Congratulations on your new Mazda 3 Ignite Edition, Stormie, and good luck for your next game," read the caption for the video.

The video shows the 19-year-old Hazziq and his black car with a red ribbon tied around the hood.

Hazziq has shown Malaysians that a career in eSports can be lucrative as the prize money from the major tournaments is huge.

His SRG team are unbeaten in the MLBB Professional League Malaysia (MPLMY) Season 14 with a 7-0 record with two games remaining before the playoff stage.

Hazziq and his team will be looking to qualify for and winning the M6 World Championships in Kuala Lumpur next month.
