KUALA LUMPUR: Turkiye's ULFHEDNAR (ULF) have secured their spot in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) M6 World Championship swiss stage after emerging victorious in the wildcard stage of the competition today (Nov 24).
ULF showed great composure and tactical awareness to secure a comfortable 3-0 victory over Insilio (Russia) in the wildcard final at the IOI Grand Exhibition and Convention Centre in Putrajaya.
Only the winner of the wildcard competition advances to the swiss stage which will also be held in Malaysia on Nov 28-Dec 5.
ULF roamer Apex47 (Furkan Akbulut) said he was pleased to see his team's hard work pay off today.
"We train 10 to 12 hours a day and it is good to see the 'plant' that we are growing (bearing fruit)," said Apex47, via a translator.
"Obviously we are very happy to win, this is a good thing for us."
ULF jungler Tienzy (Sidar Mentese) is looking forward to the Swiss Stage.
"We have only been performing at 50 per cent (ability) here, we are waiting for the Swiss Stage to go 100 per cent," said Tienzy.
ULF had earlier this week topped group A with a 100 per cent record to qualify for the final after beating Geekay Esports (2-0), Niightmare Esports (2-0) and DianFengYaoGuai (2-1).
Insilio had topped group B after beating Legion Esports (2-0) and The MongolZ (2-1) but had lost (1-2) to RRQ Akira.
