#Showbiz: 'Come home quick sayang' — Seventeen's Ifan to missing wife

KUALA LUMPUR: ‘It’s your birthday today, I want to say this in front of you, come home quick sayang.’

This was the caption to an Instagram post from Ifan, the vocalist of Indonesian pop rock group Seventeen, which is directed at his beloved wife, Dylan Sahara.

The Indonesian actress and presenter went missing when a tsunami hit Carita Beach in Banten Province, to the west of Jakarta, last Saturday night.

Accompanying the entry was a black-and-white picture of the couple together in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

The post drew many sympathetic comments from his fans and followers who offered words of hope and prayers that she would be safe.

In the latest news report, Dylan has yet to be found. It was also reported that early sightings of the vocalist’s wife in a clinic somewhere in the province was found to be untrue.

Ifan, whose real name is Riefian Fajarsyah, had earlier posted another entry with a video clip that detailed the harrowing experience he and his bandmates went through while performing in a concert at Carita Beach.

The video has since been viewed over five million times with over 21,100 comments from concerned Netizens.

During the clip, a teary-eyed and obviously distressed Ifan had also requested for fans to pray for the safe return of his still missing band members and wife.

It was reported that Seventeen guitarist Herman Sikumbang, bassist M Awal Purbani and concert manager Oki Wijaya had died in the tragic disaster.

At this time, drummer Andi and Dylan are still missing.

Seventeen has released several albums since its formation in 1999, which include Bintang Terpilih in 2003, Sweet Seventeen (2005), Lelaki Hebat (2008), Dunia Yang Indah (2011), Sang Juara (2013) and Pantang Mundur (2016).
