TNB named Ahmad Badri as new chairman

KUALA LUMPUR: Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) today announced the appointment of Tan Sri Ahmad Badri Mohd Zahir as chairman, effective March 12, replacing Tan Sri Leo Moggie who has ended his 16 years of service with TNB.

Ahmad Badri, 59, joined the board of TNB on November 1, 2018.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, TNB said its board of directors, with the concurrence of the special shareholder Minister of Finance (Inc), approved the appointment of Ahmad Badri as chairman and non-independent non-executive director of the group for a period of three years from March 12, 2020 to March 11, 2023.

Ahmad Badri is the current secretary-general of Treasury, Ministry of Finance, a post he has held since Sept 12, 2018.
