AmBank Group enhances AmOnline app for seamless customer onboarding experience

KUALA LUMPUR: AmBank Group has further enhanced its e-KYC capabilities to facilitate fully end-to-end digital account opening through its digital mobile banking platform, AmOnline.

Group chief executive officer Datuk Sulaiman Mohd Tahir said that given today's digital-first world, the banking group had made significant advancements by delivering swift and convenient services at the touch of a fingertip.

"The user interface and experience of the AmOnline app have been enhanced for a more intuitive and seamless customer onboarding experience.

"As a result, we have recorded a 70 per cent jump in new accounts opened in the first quarter (Q1) 2022 as compared to the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2021," he said in a statement today.

AmBank said that with the AmRewards 2.0 campaign that is still ongoing until February 28, 2023, new customers could experience the bank's seamless digital account opening via the AmOnline app and stand a chance to win attractive rewards and prizes throughout the campaign period.

The AmRewards 2.0 campaign is offering total prizes worth up to RM1.69 million.

The prizes include a Porsche Macan, a BMW 3 series and Swiss luxury watches.

The contest is open to all AmBank Islamic's AmWafeeq Savings Account-i account holders, both existing and new bank customers.

New customers stand a chance to win the latest iPhone 13 or 999 gold bar (10gm) or RM200 cash prize every month.

The AmOnline app is available on the Apple App Store, Google Playstore, and Huawei App Gallery.
