Lim Seong Hai Capital inks collaboration agreement with Gamuda IBS to promote digital IBS

KUALA LUMPUR: Lim Seong Hai Capital Bhd's (LSH Capital) wholly owned subsidiary, LSH Best Builders Sdn Bhd, has signed a collaboration agreement with Gamuda Industrial Building System Sdn Bhd (Gamuda IBS) to boost construction efficiency by promoting the use of digital industrial building system (IBS).

Gamuda IBS is an end-to-end digital IBS solutions provider, pioneering digital IBS adoption in Malaysia with the country's first digital IBS facility.

Through the collaboration, LSH Capital and Gamuda IBS to support the industry's transition towards the fourth industrial revolution (IR4.0) via the digitalisation of work processes and automation of construction works.

The company added that this could be achieved by identifying and transforming projects from conventional delivery models to robotic automation and seamless integration with building information modelling (BIM).

LSH Capital non-executive chairman Tan Sri Lim Keng Cheng said that through the collaboration, LSH is playing the company's role in the digitalisation of the construction industry, where it sees the potential for the adaptation of digital IBS solutions as a game changer.

"This is also one of our strategies to mitigate the risk of labour shortages in the market and to ensure the quality of work with more sustainable practices.

"We look forward to establishing a productive business relationship with Gamuda IBS and will explore projects leveraging both companies strengths.
