KUALA LUMPUR: KNM Group Bhd yesterday said Sazini Abdullah, who gave notice to propose Manfred Gustav Von Nostitz to be elected as a director of the company at its annual general meeting (AGM) on June 6, 2024, is not listed as a shareholder in its register of depositors (ROD).
"The board of directors of the company wishes to announce that the ROD of the company as at May 27, 2024 does not reflect the said purported shareholder, Sazini Abdullah as a member of the company. Based on the relevant laws and regulations, Sazini Abdullah is therefore not regarded as a member of the company," KNM said in its filing with Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd.
On May 24, the KNM announced that Sazini had given notice to propose Von Nostitz for nomination as a director in the company.
Her notice followed that of Tan Khye Yinn, Chang Hui Kee, Mah Wai Leon, and Wang Hee Heng, on May 21, 2024, proposing the appointment of Wong Toh Sing, William H Vanvliet III, Wan Kamaruddin Wan Mohamed Ali, and Sakthi Kumar Ramadas as directors.
KNM's share price closed unchanged at 10 sen yesterday, giving it a market capitalisation of RM404.6 million.
