KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia remained higher at midday, tracking the positive Wall Street performance amidst the declining crude oil prices and ongoing tension in the Middle East, an analyst said.
At 12.30 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) rose by 1.96 points, or 0.12 per cent, to 1,637.58 from Tuesday's close of 1,635.62.
The barometer index, which opened 2.04 points higher at 1,637.66, moved between 1,635.90 and 1,642.29 throughout the morning trading session.
However, on the broader market, decliners led gainers 494 to 463, with 485 counters unchanged, 982 untraded and 20 suspended.
Turnover amounted to 1.95 billion units valued at RM1.22 billion.
