Bursa Malaysia's 30-stock index opened higher, mirroring Wall Street's positive performance as investors welcomed Donald Trump's decision to nominate hedge fund manager Scott Bessent as the new Treasury Secretary.
The FBM KLCI opened three points higher at 1,600.50.
The index is likely to trend within the range of 1,590 to 1,605 today.
Among the top gainers in early trade were Zen Tech International and Revenue Group.
In the cryptocurrency market, Bitcoin traded at RM419,545, Ethereum stood at RM15,299, and Solana slightly dipped to RM1,054.
