KUALA LUMPUR: Solar photovoltaic (PV) solutions provider Ray Go Solar Holdings Bhd has launched a solar energy system at Mydin Mall Bertam in Penang to help the local hypermarket chain contribute to the development of green energy.
Ray Go Solar chief executive officer Datuk Ray Tan said the successful launch of the solar energy system at Mydin Mall Bertam today marks not only a business collaboration but also a significant step in contributing to the development of green energy.
"The entire project took nearly a month to complete. The company uses solar energy technology from the United States and the applications not only improve energy efficiency but also reduce dependency on traditional energy sources, lower carbon emissions, and contribute to a sustainable future for the Earth," he said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Tan said the event is also in line with the Penang 2030 Vision proposed by the Penang state government.
He said the cooperation between Ray Go Solar and Mydin Northern Region Malaysia will strengthen as both parties will continue to explore more collaboration opportunities.
"We are well aware that future energy development will increasingly rely on green and renewable energy, and we are part of the movement towards this change," he added.
