KUALA LUMPUR: Gamers, rejoice! CyberFest 2017 brings you the Gaming Education Fair as part of its biggest gaming festival, held in Empire City, Petaling Jaya.
From today until Sunday, visitors can choose the right gaming courses and discover education opportunities from various public and private colleges and universities from Malaysia and abroad.
Organised by Spotgamers, JomGaming, and GamesBond, CyberFest 2017 will also host a gaming career fair, esports tournaments, tabletop gaming, LAN party, sales and exhibitions, and many other gaming related activities.
Supported and endorsed by Esports Malaysia, the national governing body for esports initiatives, the festival aims to educate Malaysians in general that 'gaming' is a lucrative and future-proof industry.
Fresh grads and experienced professionals wanting to further their career can start their journey here as the Gaming Career Fair features companies that are related to gaming development, gaming products, gaming merchandise – all sorts of employment that is related to the Malaysian gaming industry.
Employers will showcase opportunities available in the Malaysian gaming scene as well as recruit passionate gamers who are looking to break into the industry.
No gaming event is complete without any game competition. At CyberFest, gamers stand a chance to win from the RM100,000 total prize pool through three main esports titles – DotA 2, CS:GO and FIFA 18 along with other community gaming competitions.
Another interesting event is a three-day, two-night LAN Party. Gamers from all walks of life will meet up with friends and have a smashing good time playing games non-stop.
Beginners and those intending to upgrade their gaming gears can visit CyberFest as there are plenty of businesses and companies selling and exhibit their products and services, even organising activities like workshops and seminars to further interact with their users and fanbase.
