KUALA LUMPUR: Following the launch of its MatePad Pro last month, Huawei is expanding its tablet offerings by offering two more models - the HUAWEI MatePad and MatePad T on Huawei Store.
The Huawei MatePad delivers Huawei's signature FullView experience with a 10.4-inch 2K display.
Users can enjoy the latest series or movies with heightened image quality, colour saturation and sharpness with its proprietary Huawei ClariVu Display Enhancement technology.
The tablet is powered by Kirin 810 AI chipset manufactured with 7nm process which includes a 2.27GHz octa-core CPU, comprising two A76 performance cores and six A55 efficiency cores. The Kirin 810 also includes a Da Vinci NPU to handle AI processing and enable novel and sophisticated smart features that enrich the user experience.
The Huawei MatePad also packs a massive 7250mAh battery for a longer usage time.
Meanwhile, the Huawei MatePad T is a new 8-inch tablet that delivers a powerful performance at a fraction of the price of most tablets today.
Powered by an octa-core processor and a 5100mAh high capacity battery, the tablet provides the processing power to support up to 12 hours continuous local video playback, or a 600 hours of standby time with the screen off.
New way to share
With working from home becoming the new normal in these circumstances, Huawei users will be delighted to know that the MatePad series leverages on the company's EMUI10 distributed technology that enables Huawei Share. With just a tap of a button, users can connect their smartphones to their tablets to share data, transfer files, videos, and documents that can be edited and viewed on a wider screen.
Peripherals and hardware capabilities are shared between the connected devices. For instance, users can take advantage of the powerful quad-speaker system to play music files stored locally on the smartphone, answer calls and reply to text messages through the tablet.
AppGallery
The user experience of a device also depends on the apps that accompany it, as they provide enjoyment, entertainment and enhance the tools.
In this case, Huawei devices are equipped with its very own AppGallery, where users can download most of the frequently used apps in Malaysia.
Huawei's very own HuaweiVideo will also provide users with non-stop video entertainment – from international music videos to reality television series with free three-month premium access.
Users can also claim up to 15GB free with Huawei Mobile Cloud storage (valid for 12 months).
The Huawei MatePad is priced at RM1,399, MatePad T comes at RM559. Both tablets are available from today.
