SAMSUNG has unveiled the new Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 at the Galaxy Unpacked event in Paris.
Besides the new foldable phones, the company also launched the new Galaxy Buds3 and Galaxy Buds3 Pro.

The latest Galaxy Z series epitomises this advancement by integrating AI with Samsung's renowned foldable form factor.
The Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 come with large screens, FlexWindows, and FlexMode capabilities, and are designed to maximise AI functionalities, offering users unprecedented communication, productivity, and creativity opportunities.
At the launch event, Samsung Electronics president and head of Mobile eXperience Business, TM Roh said Samsung's long history of innovation has allowed the company to lead in the mobile space, creating the foldable form factor and ushering in the mobile AI era,.
"Now, we are excited to bring these two complementary technologies together and unlock new possibilities for users around the world," he said.
Design
The new Galaxy Z series is Samsung's slimmest and lightest yet, featuring a symmetrical design with straight edges for a sleek finish.
Its dual rail hinge structure and strengthened folding edge now can better distribute shock from external impacts, while the main screen's enhanced layers improve the crease's appearance and maintain strength.
Additionally, both devices are equipped with Armor Aluminum and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 making them the most durable in the Galaxy Z lineup.
Powering the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform for Galaxy.
According to Samsung, this platform is optimised for AI processing, enhanced graphics, and overall improved performance. The upgraded cooling system features a larger vapor chamber in the Galaxy Z Fold6 and, for the first time, a vapour chamber in the Galaxy Z Flip6.

AI-powered productivity
AI has become the centerstage of the two devices.
The Galaxy Z Fold6, for example, leverages AI to enhance productivity with features like Note Assist in Samsung Notes, which offers translation, summaries, and auto-formatting for meeting notes. The embedded transcript feature transcribes, translates, and summarises voice recordings, while PDF overlay translation supports text in images and graphs. The Samsung Keyboard's Composer generates text suggestions for emails and social media posts, reflecting the user's tone based on previous posts.
Besides that, the integration of the S Pen with Galaxy AI allows users to create sophisticated art pieces through the Sketch to Image feature, generating image options from simple sketches. The new Google Gemini app, fully integrated into the Galaxy Z series, acts as an AI-powered assistant, helping users organise travel itineraries, explore landmarks, and access real-time information.
AI enhancements also extend to barrier-free communication with the Interpreter's conversation mode, displaying translations on both the main and cover screens for natural interactions. Live Translate offers real-time phone call translations across various apps.
Portability
The Galaxy Z Flip6 emphasises portability and creativity with its 3.4-inch Super AMOLED FlexWindow, enabling AI-assisted functions without opening the device.
Features like Suggested Replies and FlexWindow's expanded widgets offer convenience on the go. The Photo Ambient feature changes wallpapers in real-time based on weather and time, and the FlexCam's Auto Zoom ensures perfect framing for hands-free shots.
The Galaxy Z Flip6's new 50MP Wide and 12MP Ultra-wide sensors provide clear, detailed photos with AI zoom capabilities. Its Nightography feature is now enhanced with video HDR, to allow users to capture better videos in dim lighting, integrating seamlessly with social apps like Instagram.
Galaxy Buds3 Series
The new Galaxy Buds3 series harnesses Galaxy AI for a transformative communication experience. Features like Interpreter in Listening mode, Voice Command, Adaptive EQ, and Adaptive ANC enhance sound quality and convenience. The sleek, computational design ensures comfort and style, with advanced hardware for premium audio and call quality. The Galaxy Buds3 series offers sleek designs in silver and white.
Availability
The Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6, and Galaxy Buds3 series are available for pre-order starting July 10 with general availability beginning July 24.
