KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Uqasha Senrose is happy to have played a role in bringing fellow actors Fattah Amin and Nur Fazura Sharifuddin together, which resulted in the couple recently getting engaged.
The 24-year-old actress, whose real name is Nik Zaris Uqasha Senrose, revealed that during the early stages of shooting for the television drama, Hero Seorang Cinderella, Fattah and Fazura, who played the leads, were not quite getting along together.
Noticing the situation, Uqasha made an effort to bring them closer together but never imagined that Fattah and Fazura would fall for each other.
"During the early days of the shooting, they were a little egotistical towards each other. So I tried to make nice and ease them into being more comfortable with each other in order to create better chemistry. From then on, I saw that they started to develop a more natural and closer relationship during the shooting at Pulau Perhentian in Terengganu.”
"I felt that love was in the air for the two and I am truly happy to have had been able to bring them closer together,” said Uqasha in a report by BH Online.
In a press conference yesterday, the couple confirmed that they had gotten engaged on Nov 13 at Fazura’s family home in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
Overjoyed to hear of the good news, Uqasha said that she was extremely happy that Fattah, 27, and Fazura, 34, were ready to start a life together since she felt that the two really suited each other.
"Fazura is like my own sister and I’m very pleased to see her so happy. They seem very romantic whenever they’re together. I pray that Fattah will love and cherish her for the rest of his life,” she said.
