KUALA LUMPUR: Popular TV host and actress Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor admitted that Nur Fazura Sharifuddin could have easily won the top spot at Anugerah MeleTOP ERA 2018.
“Fazura is a big name in the industry, and with the award she won (Bintang Filem MeleTOP), it wasn’t impossible for her to win the Top Top MeleTOP award,” said the 29-year-old artiste at the press conference held after the awards show at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil here yesterday.
Besides the top award, Neelofa also took home two other awards – Fesyen MeleTOP and Pelakon TV MeleTOP.
However, it was also revealed at the press conference that the female artiste with the second highest votes after Neelofa was Artis Baharu MeleTOP recipient, actress Farah Nabilah, 26.
Neelofa added that Farah also had her own strength and huge followers.
“So this is quite an unexpected win for me, considering that I didn’t have any hit dramas, unlike last year.
Asked if it was tough being Neelofa, it didn’t take long for her to nod and admitted that it was so.
“Sometimes I wished that I was someone else. I cry a lot too. But having said that, I’m thankful for my supporters who are always there to cheer me on. So I have to be strong and soldier on,” she said.
