KUALA LUMPUR: Veteran singer Aishah Ariffin is a full time singer once again since she has quit politics for good.
While she remains a member and supporter of Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah), Aishah said she will be singing a lot more now, confining her political work to only voting in every general election.
"Singing is always my first love so it’s goodbye to politics for me!” she said in an Instagram post today.
“From now on, I’ll just be a political observer and voter like everyone else.”
Aishah was a former PAS member and contested for the Jempol parliamentary seat in 2013 but lost.
Two years later she joined Amanah and campaigned for the party in the recent general election.
The Gegar Vaganza Season 4 winner’s decision to quit politics is well received by Netizens. They welcomed her back to the music scene, admitting that she is evergreen.
