KUALA LUMPUR: ‘‘He had a bloodied nose, and without thinking, I took him straight to hospital.’’
This was Gema Gegar Vaganza 2 (GGV2) singer Farah Asyikin Zulkifli’s response when she came face-to-face with an accident victim in Shah Alam recently.
The 39-year-old revealed in an Instagram post today that when she was driving her Ford Ranger, she spotted the young man sitting on the roadside and bleeding from his nose.
She quickly stopped to help the man, and was joined by two passers-by.
“We got him seated in the back, and I brought him to Shah Alam Hospital in Section 7,” said Farah, who praised the two men who stopped to help the victim.
Farah also revealed that she tried to contact her husband, who was in a meeting, and notified his secretary about the incident.
“I was impulsive and spontaneous, but also cautious and aware of my surroundings when I decided to pull over. I then asked the passers-by if they had called the police or ambulance,” she said.
Farah also notified the victim’s parents and on the way to hospital, she answered their calls.
The singer said she thanked God for guiding her on that fateful day.
“Nothing is possible without God’s will, in every situation we encounter.”
Her fans and followers gave her the thumbs up for helping and showing empathy to those in need.
“May God bless you, Kak Farah,” said Ahmadshah.
