#Showbiz: Sherry Alhadad misses the men in her life

KUALA LUMPUR: While her fans and followers are used to seeing cheerful postings on her social media, popular TV host and comedienne Sherry Alhadad recently shared a photo of her dearly departed grandfather and father.

In the caption, she introduced her followers to her grandfather and father — Syed Ali Al Hadad and Syed Abdullah Al Hadad respectively.

“I don’t really remember my grandfather much as he passed away when I was only one-year-old. Meanwhile, my father passed on when I was nine,” shared the artiste whose full name is Shariffah Mariam.

Sherry also recounted how she used to accompany her father and being his youngest child, many had thought she was her father’s granddaughter.

“My nickname Sherry was also given by him, who got it from Modern Talking’s song Cheri Cheri Lady,” she said.

Sherry who is now 35, also wrote that she was happy with her life even if she had yet to tie the knot.

“By the way abah, don’t worry about me not getting married yet. I am happy living my life with mother and siblings,” she wrote.

“I love you abah. May you and grandfather be placed among the righteous. Al Fatihah.”
