KUALA LUMPUR: Singer-actress Dr Soo Wincci is thrilled to be working towards obtaining her second doctorate, a PhD in Philosophy, in Spain.
The 34-year-old artiste said that she had decided to hit the books again after living in the Southwestern European country for the past two years.
"This time around, the focus of my dissertation is on diversity and innovation.
"I have to catch up as I'm a little behind in my studies," she said in a news report today.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the former Miss World Malaysia 2008 is currently back in town, and will only return to Spain next month.
"The coronavirus has put my classes, my research and other academic work on hold.
"Once the new semester begins, my group mates and I will have to really slog it all out," she explained.
In 2016, Soo obtained a PhD in business administration at Open University Malaysia (OUM).
The following year, she obtained a degree in innovation and technology in music production from the Berklee College of Music's campus in Valencia, Spain.
Soo also has a masters of business administration from the University of the Sunshine Coast, Australia and a law degree from the University of Reading, the United Kingdom.
