KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian animated superhero franchise BoBoiBoy is set to wow cinemagoers in Turkey next month where two of its hit feature films will be screened.
Monsta, the studio behind BoBoiBoy, released a statement today announcing that it would be collaborating with distributor CJ Entertainment Turkey and Two Productions to bring BoBoiBoy: The Movie to cinemas there in September.
This will be quickly followed by screenings of its winning sequel, BoBoiBoy Movie 2.
Apart from that, Monsta is also currently in talks to bring all 76 episodes of its popular BoBoiBoy and BoBoiBoy Galaxy series into living rooms all around Turkey.
The studio added that the movies and the series will be fully voiced in the Turkish language to add a dash of local flavour and allow the new audience to better connect with the valiant superheroes.
The homegrown BoBoiBoy franchise has already successfully penetrated entertainment markets in more than 70 countries in South East Asia, India, and the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region.
It is hoped that Turkey will provide the pathway for the franchise's next step towards further expansion into neighbouring regions.
Part of the statement read: "Monsta is committed to spearheading the export of high-quality Malaysian animation products and hopes that by bringing the BoBoiBoy franchise into Turkey, millions of new viewers will be able to enjoy BoBoiBoy's blend of action, comedy and family-friendly entertainment."
BoBoiBoy is already a phenomenal success in the Asia region with more than 5 billion views on YouTube to date.
