KUALA LUMPUR: A driver going the wrong way down a one-way street has sparked outrage among netizens after refusing to yield to an oncoming vehicle and confronting the other driver.
In a TikTok video shared by user @arezray, dashcam footage captures the moment the driver encounters a car approaching from the opposite direction.
Both vehicles come to a halt, unable to pass each other due to parked cars lining the street.
As the driver attempts to manoeuvre to the side, it becomes evident that the woman driving against traffic is unwilling to reverse. He opens his window to inform her that the road is one-way.
The woman responds, insisting, "You can just go", to which the man explains that he cannot pass and reiterates that the road is designated for one-way traffic.
She claims ignorance, stating it's her first time in the area.
Tensions escalate as she argues, "At least give way", adding that it's "common sense". This further frustrates the driver correctly in the right lane.
As she drives away, she continues to express her anger, repeating, "common sense lah bang" (this is common sense, brother), despite being in the wrong. The argument persists until she leaves the scene.
In the caption, the user expressed disbelief at encountering someone unwilling to admit their mistakes or apologise, noting the woman's arrogance despite her driving the wrong way and feeling entitled to ask the other driver to move aside.
The video has attracted over 242,200 views and more than 7,000 likes, with many netizens expressing disbelief at the driver's entitled behaviour.
User @aboy5k questioned whether the driver "left her brain at home", while @therealsiti_ remarked on her loss of patience as the woman continued to repeat the phrase "common sense".
