KUALA LUMPUR: Comedy revue indicinelive! makes a return to live audiences after several years with its seventh edition from tomorrow until Sunday.
The hilarious show will take place in the black box theatre of Pentas 2 at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPAC) as part of the arts centre's month-long 17th birthday celebrations.
Under the direction of Freddy Tan, alongside Siti Farrah Abdullah and UiHua, indicinelive! 7 will be serving up 19 brand new sketches, including the show's signature song parodies, satire and a whole lot of laughs based on everyday situations and all-too-familiar personalities.
indicinelive! 7 continues its tradition of poking fun at this bizarre world we are living in.
The team may or may not bring to life some high-profile personalities that have made the headlines for the wrong reasons. Who? You'll have to watch the show to find out.
"Suffice to say, two years of lockdowns that have literally turned the world upside down, have given the writers more than enough material to have a field day.
"With the worst behind us and our transition to endemicity, it is time to have a really, really good laugh. Malaysians laughing at things that are uniquely Malaysian," said Tan in a recent statement.
The team responsible for indicinelive!'s big return includes long-time writers Elza Irdalynna, Terence Toh, Tan and UiHua, together with the cast comprising of Bella Rahim, Ben Lin, Chia Sing, Eugene Ong, Ivan Chan, Putrina Rafie, Umesh Logandran, Yusuf Amin and Siti Farrah.
Rehearsing since March, the ensemble is set to entertain the audience with high octane performances and generous servings of laughter.
Presented by The Actors Studio Seni Theatre Rakyat in collaboration with SIFU Productions, indicinelive! 7 is supported by KLPAC and MyCreative Ventures.
The show, which is for mature audiences only, will be performed predominantly in English with a bit of Malay, Mandarin and Tamil.
