#Showbiz: LANY to perform in KL on Nov 6

KUALA LUMPUR: American pop rock band LANY will be coming back to Malaysia for the second time to entertain music fans on Nov 6 at the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil, here.

The Los Angeles music outfit consisting of Paul Jason Klein and Jake Clifford Goss, will be kicking off the Asian leg of its A November To Remember Tour on Nov 3 that will also see the band performing in Jakarta, Manila, Bangkok and Singapore.

Nominated for Pollstars 2021 "Best Pop Tour", LANY's global fan base continues to expand with over 3.5 billion streams, 750 million in video views and more than 500,000 in worldwide tickets sales.

Produced by Live Nation, the upcoming set of shows follows the forward momentum of the group's highly successful gg bb xx fall 2021 tour and the release of its fourth studio album, gg bb xx, in September of 2021.

The album showcased a return to the group's infectious pop sound where the boys collaborated with an array of notable songwriters and producers, including Andrew Goldstein (Maroon 5, Katy Perry), John Ryan (Shawn Mendes, Charlie Puth), David Hodges (Ed Sheeran, Blink 182), Tobias Jesso Jr. (Adele, Sia), Dan Smyers of Dan + Shay and more.

Its lead track, Dancing In The Kitchen, which garnered over 5 million video views was described by Uproxx as a tune that "showcases the group's knack for penning relatable pop tunes, emphasising the importance of enjoying life's little moments over a joyous beat."

LANY's non-album single, I Quit Drinking, a duet with country superstar Kelsea Ballerini debuted with a live performance at last year's CMT Awards.

Prior to gg bb xx, the band's previous album was 2020's critically acclaimed Mama's Boy which debuted at No.7 on the Billboard 200 and No.1 on the Alternative Albums sales chart with more than

300 million streams to date.
