KUALA LUMPUR: Indonesian rock band Dewa 19 has added another night to its upcoming 30 Years Of Dewa 19 Anniversary Tour concert after fans snapped up all the tickets in an hour yesterday.
Concertgoers will now get to see the popular band in action live on Sept 9 and 10 at the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil, here.
Founding member and lead guitarist Ahmad Dhani shared the good news on Dewa 19's official IG account earlier today that tickets to the added Sept 9 date would go on sale at 3pm via www.ticket2u.com.my.
"Gokil (awesome) Malaysia! In one hour tickets were sold out. We are very elated by the support of Malaysian Baladewa and Baladewi especially in Kuala Lumpur.
"So, to reciprocate your support and longing Dewa 19 will add another night for all of you.
"The added date will be Friday, Sept 9 2022 at the same location. Get your tickets from 3pm today at the same website.
"Don't be late to buy them since Malaysia is the only location where we will be having two special shows," he said in a video clip.
Tickets to the Sept 10 show for the concert, which featured the slogan 30 Years, 30 Cities, 30 Songs, were sold out in an hour after going on sale yesterday at 11am.
Many fans expressed their disappointed at not being able to purchase tickets and had hoped for the organiser, Icon Entertainment, to add another night in order to catch the longstanding Indonesian rock band performing live.
Dewa 19 last performed here in a concert at the Malawati Stadium in Shah Alam, Selangor back in 2019 without Ahmad Dhani.
The upcoming concert will be the first time that Dewa 19 features four vocalists, namely Ari Lasso, Once Mekel, Virzha and Ello, performing onstage.
