KUALA LUMPUR: Popular TV host and entrepreneur Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor admits that her husband Haris Ismail has taught her the meaning of being grateful for every single blessing.
The 33-year-old celebrity shared this during a recent live session with actress Puteri Sarah Liyana that went viral on TikTok.
"I fully understand when you say that even though there was a surging shower of rezeki previously, you still felt like it was not enough.
"In my case, I think coming from a big family with lots of siblings, maybe when my mother and father talked about being grateful there were certain things that were not understood then.
"But I've learnt a lot from my husband, who has made me realise a lot about the various aspects of being grateful.
"My family is witness to this. From having nothing to where I am now. When a new person came into my life, from his point of view, my perception has changed," she said.
Neelofa added that her 27-year-old spouse, better known as PU Riz, had also made her appreciate even the smallest of things.
"Haris always advises me to be grateful since what God has given me is not the same as with others. He says that other people who are fans and support me, when they pray for me, that is in itself a form of rezeki," she said.
Neelofa explained that Haris would always be grateful for and appreciate even the smallest thing that he receives.
"To me, something like that might just be simple or very ordinary. However, my husband would express his joy and gratefulness, so eventually I realised that this is what other people would feel when they receive something.
"Indirectly, I have learnt a lot about being reasonable and to rethink things. In fact, if say, God gives us great rezeki, an endless amount of money or numerous houses, all of that would not guarantee happiness.
"Happiness would come from the blessings found in the source of the rezeki and in being sincerely grateful," she said.
