KUALA LUMPUR: The 13-year marriage of director and actor Aziz M Osman and Puteri Lily Lokman is over.
Puteri Lily, the daughter of veteran theatre director Lokman Ghani, revealed on Instagram yesterday that she and Aziz were divorced last month but "remain best friends".
"Many friends have been asking me about my marriage, and I have decided to clear the air. Aziz and I ended our 13-year marriage amicably last month and remain best friends as parents of two children," said Lily who is also the cousin of actor Ashraf Muslim.
Lily added that their children Puteri Nur Azzahra, 11, and Putera Muhammad Aryan, 5 have accepted their separation calmly.
"Let's pray for the best, for our children and our future."
Puteri Lily, 34, and Aziz, 61, were married on June 6, 2010.
Aziz was previously married to actress and producer Nor Aliah Lee from 1992 to 2007 and they have six children.
On Aug 16, 2008 Aziz married Nor Radhiah Ramli but the marriage was annulled by the Kuala Terengganu Syariah High Court on the grounds that she had not completed "edah" at the time of their marriage.
