KUALA LUMPUR: Influencer and entrepreneur, Puteri Zarith was granted full custody of her two children at the Syariah High Court in Kuantan, Pahang, yesterday.
She said that the court's decision would put to bed rumours that suggested she did not take good care of her kids.
"Alhamdulillah, I've been given full custody of the children. I am grateful that the children are still under my care.
"Yesterday's result proves that I have never neglected my children as some parties have claimed.
"By rarely sharing their progress on social media, that doesn't mean they no longer live with me, but it's me wanting to protect their privacy," she said in a Harian Metro report today.
According to Puteri Zarith, her ex-husband Dr Munzir Shkori is still allowed to visit and spend the night with the children at any time.
"I can't just think of myself. He is still the father of my children. I have to be thankful to him for giving his full cooperation to allow me full custody.
"Following yesterday's discussion, I will not prevent him from seeing or taking the children at any time.
"This is to ensure that the children get full love from both of their parents. Pray that everything will go smoothly even though we are no longer together," she said.
On Aug 12, Puteri Zarith confirmed that she had legally divorced Dr Munzir after her ex-husband refused to pronounce the divorce voluntarily.
Puteri Zarith and Dr Munzir tied the knot on Jan 1, 2009, and they are blessed with two children, Arayyan Darwish and Puteri Medina.
