#Showbiz: 'It's always worth it' - BlackPink fans flock to New York Pop-up store [NSTTV]

SOUTH KOREAN K-pop girl group BlackPink's fans flocked to New York on Wednesday to be among the first to grab rare and special merchandise at the "Born Pink Pop-Up Experience."

The line was long, but Katherine Reyes did not mind.

"We have been lining up for a lot of BlackPink events," Reyes said. "We saw them in Coachella and waited like hours to see them and we waited in Chicago for their last concert for hours. So it's always worth it."

The foursome - Jisoo, Jennie, Rose, and Lisa - have become a global phenomenon since their debut in South Korea in 2016 and have collaborated with stars such as Lady Gaga, Cardi B, and Dua Lipa.

Organisers said this pop-up store "gives fans access to an added dimension of the group's record-breaking "Born Pink World Tour," with limited-edition merchandise including some "New York-exclusive styles" designed by VERDY, a Japanese graphic artist.

VERDY is the artistic director for the "Born Pink Pop-Up Experience," which started in London in June and will be in Los Angeles later this summer.

The New York store will be open through August 12th.
