KUALA LUMPUR: Popular Norwegian disc jockey and producer Alan Walker recently gave fans a personal way to connect with him ahead of his upcoming Walkerworld Tour 2024 in Sunway Lagoon, Subang Jaya, Selangor.
Taking to social media, Walker shared his Malaysian, Indonesian and Singaporean phone numbers, inviting fans to text him. The response was overwhelming, with over 15,000 messages flooding in.
"Walkers! I've set up local numbers so you can WhatsApp me – let me know if you are coming to my shows in June!" wrote Walker on his official Facebook page, accompanied by a photo of himself wearing a black hood and face mask.
Known for his hits Faded and Alone, Walker will be performing at the Surf Beach, Sunway Lagoon at 8pm on June 22.
His Facebook post alone garnered over 700 comments and almost 2,000 shares, with fans from all over the world leaving comments of love and support, as well as asking Walker to perform in their city.
Walker later shared an update on his X account that he had received over 15,000 messages but did not specify their countries of origin.
His phone number will remain available until the Walkerworld show, and fans are encouraged to send WhatsApp messages which might or might not receive replies.
Walker will be performing with special guests Putri Ariani, Robin Packalen and Sofiloud! at his concert in Sunway Lagoon.
The Walkerworld Tour 2024 promises an epic night of music, energy, and memories.
Walker, 27, released his debut album Different World in 2018 featuring artistes as Steve Aoki, Noah Cyrus and Digital Farm Animals.
