KUALA LUMPUR: Action-packed heist movie The Experts has raked in RM10 million at the box office in 10 days.
The star-studded production tells the story of five siblings who used to be master thieves like their late father, but have since quit crime, only to be forced to do one last heist as their lives are threatened by a crime lord.
The Experts' executive producer Raja Jastina Raja Arshad said in a statement yesterday that movie-goers around the country had given the production team positive feedback and most of them "thoroughly enjoyed" the action adventure which carries the message of family values.
"We've been going on a nationwide roadshow and most recently the main cast was mobbed by fans when they visited Melaka and Johor," she said, adding that they were currently visiting cinemas around the Klang Valley.
"We would like to thank all fans of Malaysian films for their strong support, and we are confident that The Experts will continue to do well at the box office in the weeks to come."
The Experts, produced by Astro Shaw, ZAK Capital and TGV Pictures, is directed by Andre Chiew and Nizam Shah.
It stars Datuk Aaron Aziz, Syafiq Kyle, Mimi Lana, Remy Ishak, Ray Dapdap, Maya Karin, Tony Eusoff, Wan Hanafi Su, Jay Iswazir Ismail, Michael Ang and Douglas Lim.
