KUALA LUMPUR: Singaporean artiste Aliff Aziz is taking some time off from work to focus on his mental health, following his divorce and the controversy prior to that.
In a recent news report, the 33-year-old singer-actor said he wanted to take some time to reflect on himself.
"I need to rest for a while, to take care of my mental well-being. Today has been a very hectic day for me," he told reporters outside the Federal Territories Syariah Lower Court last week.
He added that he was not worried about income as he believed that everything is in God's power.
Aliff married Bella Astillah in 2016, but recently divorced for the second time when he pronounced the talak before Syariah Judge Wan Mohd Najib Wan Hamat.
The pair had previously divorced on May 16, 2019 but reconciled while Bella was still in her iddah period.
On March 9, Aliff and his co-star Ruhainies were nabbed by Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department (Jawi) officers at a condominium here for suspected khalwat.
Few days later, Bella filed for a divorce.
