KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Nora Danish's ex-husband laughed when asked whether financial troubles were the root cause of their seven-year marriage ending.
Nedim Nazri, who appeared at the Federal Territories Sharia Court with Nora last night, however, declined to make any statements regarding their separation.
During an interview with BH, Nedim remained mostly silent, only occasionally interjecting.
Nedim also seemed more comfortable letting his former wife answer all the reporters' questions.
However, when asked whether the breakup would strain his relationship with his stepson, Putera Rayqal Rizal Ashram, 15, Nedim, dressed in all black, denied the claim.
"I and my three children are all ok. They are still my children," he briefly replied.
Meanwhile, Nedim said that the custody arrangements (hadanah) for the children had been settled amicably.
"The custody arrangements have been settled," he added.
Around 8.40pm last night, the couple officially divorced after seven years of marriage.
Nora and Nedim tied the knot on March 30, 2017, and were blessed with a son, Mohamed Neqayl, who is six years old.
Previously, Nora was married to Datuk Rizal Ashram Ramli or Jejai on June 20, 2006, and had a son, Putra Rayqal, 15, before their divorce in 2008.
Meanwhile, Nedim had previously been married to Nabilah Khan in 2011 and divorced two years later. From that marriage, they had a son, Mohamed Nedrin, 12.
