#SHOWBIZ: Nurul Shuhada withdraws case against Hafidz Roshdi

KUALA KUBU BARU: Actor Hafidz Roshdi, 30, is grateful that his ex-wife Nurul Shuhada Mat Shukri has withdrawn her assault case, in which he allegedly punched her left cheek on March 13.

In her earlier lawsuit, Nurul Shuhada alleged that Hafidz punched her three times on her left cheek at the Sungai Buaya Toll Plaza here.

Hafidz when met at the Magistrate's Court here yesterday, said that it was good news for him and announced that they had reconciled.

"I want to thank everyone who has stood by me throughout this turbulent time. God bless you all," he said in a Harian Metro news report.

Hafidz also said that Nurul Shuhada's decision to withdraw the case was not the result of duress.

"There was no issue of provocation that happened. We agreed to make peace amicably," he said.

Hafidz, who was seen accompanied by his wife Athirah Yuhada, also said that his mental health condition was improving, and he was still making monthly visits to the doctors.

Nurul Shuhada, however, did not appear in court for yesterday's proceedings.
