KUALA LUMPUR: In a recent podcast session, Indonesian singer Datuk Seri Rossa Handiyani shared how she was divorced by her former husband Surendro Prasetyo a.k.a.Yoyo back in 2009.
It took her 15 years to finally share it publicly when she was interviewed by fellow celebrity Denny Sumargo on his podcast 'Curhat Bang!'
During the session, the 45-year-old artiste, who was also there with her 18-year-old son, Rizky Langit Ramadhan, said that she was informed by her lawyer in a dressing room at a concert venue here in Malaysia.
"I was doing my makeup and he approached me and said that the divorce papers had already been submitted by Yoyo's lawyer to the courts back home," she revealed.
Despite receiving the bad news Rossa went on to perform.
However, when she sang 'Hati Yang Kau Sakiti', she said that she could no longer hold back her emotions and began to cry.
However, Rossa added that she is now friends again with her former husband.
Rossa and Yoyo tied the knot in 2004 but their marriage lasted for only five years.
